It’s hard not to get stressed out by the day to day problems of modern life. Stress has become so common place that we often don’t even realize how much it affects us, but we all have our limit. Nickey is about to find out how devastating it can be. Speaking with her friend on the phone, she is struck, mid-sentence, with a crushing pain, clutching her chest as her vision dims. She falls to the ground, unconscious and alone.

Luckily, her friend calls 911 and within minutes a paramedic is bursting through her door to kneel by her. His assessment looks grim and he immediately begins CPR. Working feverishly, he internally considers how best to help the unresponsive Nickey. To allow better access to her body, and all its interesting bits, he starts to remove her clothes.

It’s not easy. She is as floppy as a rag doll, forcing him to roll her over and sit her up, limp limbs tangling themselves in her garments, testing the EMT’s calm resolve. Finally, she is naked, her body exposed and helpless on the floor of her own house. The paramedic continues to press on her chest and puff air into her lungs, pausing only to feel for a pulse. Not finding any, he charges his defibrillator, preparing to shock her.

Her body jerks and dances, as the current flows through her. Back and forth, the man switches between the electrified paddles and manual chest compressions, desperate to save this young woman. As his determination starts to flag from sheer exhaustion, however, he fears the worst. All his efforts appear futile and he sadly admits defeat. He calls in time of death and packs his equipment back into his bag. Nickey’s young lifeless body, stripped of all clothes, her most intimate details on display, lies motionless and starts to grow cold, destined for the morgue. I guess she didn’t need to stress about anything after all. All her cares are gone now and forever.
