After a fun night at the club with some friends, Karma arrives home. She places her purse on the table and lets out a heavy sigh. It’s been a long week. All she wants to do is flop herself on the bed. But before she can make this seemingly simple desire happen, a man with pantyhose over his head jumps out of her closet, startling her.
He must be with Mickey. She owes him money. She pleads with him, asserting that she will get the money somehow. But it seems like Mickey and his henchman have had enough. He jumps her, wrapping a piece of rope tightly around her throat, crushing her windpipe.
They struggle, with Karma on top of the killer, the rope around her throat. His grunts punctuate her coughing and hacking. They squirm around the bed, her sequined shirt glistening in the soft light of her bedroom. He is merciless, she knows there is no way out of this. She thinks about her life as she chokes and drools on herself. Her whole body shakes a few times and she finally falls still.
The killer picks up her limp body and carries her over to the couch, where he lays her haphazardly. “Adios, niña,” he says with a growl as he leaves her apartment. She is found the next morning and taken to the morgue.
She arrives in the morgue in a body bag, stiffened in rigor on her side. The technicians unzip the bag and loosen the rigor in her limbs for easier workability. They follow standard procedures, taking fingerprints, internal temperature, checking the body thoroughly. They massage the breast tissue, roll the body over so they can check her back. After she is washed and dressed she is placed in a casket [note: this happens off screen] for viewing.
